Artist Bio
Elhaam Sahebdin is a British Mauritian conceptual artist, based in East London, with an interest in tackling negative thinking. Living most of her life in the London Borough of Newham, the diversity of the community has inspired her to create art that encourages social inclusion, respect and tolerance in the
ever-divisive society. Her work aims to connect with people of all backgrounds and experiences by focusing on the shared values. Her work is characteristically very colourful and detailed, drawing inspiration from the zentangle art form of creating images from repetitive patterns – a form of art that is found to provide artistic satisfaction and an increased sense of personal well being. By using pen and pencil to find mindfulness, she hopes that she can add colour, hope and peace to the lives of others.
